Hello! I'm Deb Chaney and I teach science and history at the North Central Consortium School.

About Me
I was born and raised in Montana and married a military man in 1987.  We moved to the area after 911 when the Iowa Air National Guard was activated. We have 3 fur babies who keep life interesting!

Teaching is my second career.  I graduated with a BA in Education and Special Education from Peru State College in 1998, and I earned a Masters in Education from Morningside College in 2007. I have been teaching for 20 years. My first teaching experience was Title I Reading at Syracuse Elementary in Syracuse, Nebraska.

I taught 5th grade BD at Fair Oaks Elementary in Fort Dodge. I teach at what is now the North Central Consortium School.   I have taught here for 15 years. It is very rewarding and I enjoy it very much.

I enjoy flower gardening, working in the yard, and home projects. My husband and I golf in a 2 man best ball league. I bicycle with a group of friends and participate in bicycle rides.  Attending yoga and water aerobics classes are experiences I enjoy as well.
