Deedra Harman

My name is Deedra Harman, and I live on a small acreage with my husband and our youngest child.  My husband and I have two older children who have attended college and have become part of the workforce.  My family has expanded through the means of a wedding, and I now have a wonderful daughter-in-law to share family time with and cherish.
I truly love and cherish all of my family, the quality time we spend together, and all of the memories that we create.  I do spend a tremendous amount of time with my family, where I enjoy cabin life, the farm, our acreage, reading, and exercising.

After I graduated from Kingsley Pierson Community School, I continued my education at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion.  I graduated from the University with a BS in Business Management.  After working for a few years in the workforce, I then attended Buena Vista College through the Fort Dodge center graduating with an elementary teaching degree, along with several endorsements: reading, middle school, and coaching.  Morningside was the last college that demanded my attention through online classes to accumulate my masters in special education.

I teach special education in the elementary building, where my grade level focus is kindergarten through second grade but have serviced students through fourth grade.  I also coach junior high volleyball and track.
