Jodi Jacobsen: elementary teacher leader program coordinator, instructional coach, elementary yearbook editor

WELCOME to Manson Northwest Webster Elementary School! I’m Mrs. Jacobsen, and I’m excited to be teaching at Manson NW Webster!

I grew up on a farm near LeMars, Iowa. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, and this is my twenty-fourth year of teaching for MNW. I have taught first grade and fourth grade. I live in Manson with my husband Tony, our daughter Katelyn, our son Alex, and our Great Dane Murphy. Katelyn currently lives in Cedar Falls and attends the University of Northern Iowa. She is completing her senior year of college. Alex is a sophomore at Iowa State University in Ames. We love living in Manson, and being involved at school and church. It's great to be a Cougar! I really like to read, play games, golf, visit family and friends, and go for boat rides.

I absolutely love teaching at Manson NW Webster. Our community and parents are great, the staff here are welcoming, and the students are amazing! My position this year is the coordinator of the teacher leadership program, and instructional coach with the MNW elementary teachers. Every day looks a little different as I learn new things and share them with the elementary teachers. I work to support our teaching staff through professional development, growth plans, technology, and other teaching goals and ideas. I am also a member of the building and district leadership teams, our school improvement advisory committee, and the yearbook editor. I am a member of Professional Educators of Iowa, Iowa Core Advocates, Iowa Council for Teachers of Mathematics, and serve on the Parish Education committee at St. Paul's Lutheran in Manson. It is a joy for me to be involved with friends and family to serve our school district and community.
