Jodi Jacobsen: 4th grade instructor, math team leader, elementary yearbook editor

WELCOME to fourth grade at Manson Northwest Webster Elementary School! I’m Mrs. Jacobsen. I’m excited to be teaching at Manson NW Webster!

I grew up on a farm near LeMars, Iowa. I graduated from the University of Northern Iowa, and this is my twenty-first year of teaching for MNW. I have taught first grade and fourth grade. I live in Manson with my husband Tony, our daughter Katelyn, our son Alex, and our little dog Casey. Katelyn currently lives in Cedar Falls and attends the University of Northern Iowa. She is completing her freshman year of college. Alex is a junior at MNW high school. He is involved in many activities such as Youth Group, FFA, and wrestling. We love living in Manson, and being involved at school and church. It's great to be a Cougar!

I absolutely love teaching 4th grade at Manson NW Webster. Our community and parents are great, the staff here are welcoming, and the students are amazing! Upper elementary students are really fun for me to work with and interact with. My favorite subject to teach is math, and I also love to read aloud to my students! My favorite series are Harry Potter and The Chronicles of Narnia. Along with teaching, I am the leader of the elementary math team, a member of the building and district leadership teams, our school improvement advisory committee, and the yearbook editor. I am also a member of Professional Educators of Iowa, and serve on the Parish Education committee at St. Paul's Lutheran in Manson. It is a joy for me to be involved with friends and family to serve our school district and community.
