Some of my favorites

Hi!  I'm Christine Sturgeon and am the district's Teacher Librarian/Technology Integrationist.  That means I work with students and teachers at both the elementary and secondary schools.  In other words, I have the best job in the district!

I graduated from Dike High School in 1988 and married my husband, Rob, in 1989; we have five adult children.  I was a stay-at-home for many years and then graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Bachelor's degree in elementary education in 2009.  I graduated with a Master's degree in Library Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2011, and that's when I started at MNW.  It took me 21 years to get my BA and 18 months to get my Master's.  Now I'm working on a doctorate from Drake in Educational Leadership.  My dissertation is about women in the Maker Movement.

My professional interests include makerspaces, video production, preschool storytimes, the right to read, and student voice.
