My Quick Links

Hi--I'm Julie Tague!  I have been the 7-12 Family and Consumer Sciences instructor at Manson-Northwest Webster since 1997

I was raised in Manson and graduated from Manson High School in 1977.  I then attended North Park College in Chicago, majoring in music, but finished my Bachelor of Science degree at Iowa State with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education (previously called Home Economics Education).  I also have 5-12 Health, Middle School Science, and Multi-Occupations teaching endorsements.

The classes that I currently teach at MNW include:
  • 7th Grade Exploratory FCS
  • 8th Grade Exploratory FCS
  • FCS Foundations
  • Culinary Arts I:  Food Fundamentals
  • Culinary Arts II:  Advanced Foods (We have a student-run restaurant, the Autumn/Springtime Grill, in this class)
  • Culinary Arts III:  Restaurant Management
  • Child Development
  • Design:  Clothing and Interiors
  • Introduction to Hospitality (for MNW and ICCC credit)
I am also the adviser for the MNW FCCLA chapter. (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) We operate the Cougar Cafe, a small coffee shop/restaurant, in the library every Friday, as well as do other activities and service projects to build leadership skills.

My husband Mark and I live in Manson and have 3 grown children, 2 granddaughters and 2 dogs. I love to cook, make greeting cards, read, play the piano, travel and spend time with my family.
