My name is Mike Richman and I am currently the High School Instructional Coach. I teach Civic Leadership class during the 1st and 3rd trimesters, and I also teach Sports History (yes, it's really a class) during 2nd trimester.


Education
I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Education from Valley City State University in Valley City, North Dakota with a major in Social Science Education and  a minor in Physical Education and Coaching. I earned my certification in Special Education from Morningside College.


Background
I am originally from Buffalo, North Dakota. I began teaching in the fall of 2001 at East Union High School in Afton, Iowa where I taught Special Education and World History. I was also the Head Baseball Coach and the Athletic Director. In the fall of 2003, I accepted a position with the Manson Northwest Webster school district as a special education teacher and head baseball coach. I taught 5th-8th grade special education for 4 years in the Barnum building before transferring to the high school building in Manson in the fall of 2008. I taught high school special education from 2008-2016. In the fall of 2011, I began teaching Civic Leadership and Sports History came along in the winter of 2014. I now serve as high school instructional coach.

My wife Andrea and I live in Manson with our daughters Abby (12) and Alyssa (10).
