Katie Nelson

Title I Teacher 

Hi! I am Katie Nelson and I am a Title 1 Reading Teacher and ESL Teacher at Manson Northwest Webster. I also have the opportunity to serve as the Literacy team leader. I have been with Manson Northwest Webster since 2006. My husband, Brian Nelson, is also employed through MNW, as the high school Industrial Education Instructor. We have 3 beautiful children, Aiden, Arabella, and Asher and a dog named Nelly.

EDUCATION

I graduated from Sentral Community School in Fenton, Iowa in 2002. I then went on to major in Elementary and Middle Level Education at the University of Northern Iowa. After beginning teaching at MNW, I completed my Reading Endorsement K-12 through Morningside College and went on to complete my Masters in Professional Education through Morningside College. In 2015, I completed my ESL Endorsement through Morningside College.
